Today I started looking around the area and wondering where all of the RV’s that I see are coming from? And as I started to approach drivers/owners to make inquiries and discovered that while 91% of all Norwegians are fluent in English, they had no idea what I meant when I said “RV” or “motorhome”! So I scampered back to my trusty computer and discovered the word “bobil” that means “Mobile Home”, “Camper-van” or “RV”.
We live very close to the harbor and the ferry terminals and are very fortunate to see so many BOBIL’s congregate here waiting for a ferry or whatever.
Here and in most of Europe they say they are going “Caravan” and are the most efficient compact units I have seen. More on that later!

I am beginning to wonder what I may be in for though, as I have not seen a single Arizona sunny day or cactus anywhere…

Great pictures, Jeff! It’s sure neat to see the area you’re in over there. It’s interesting to hear how many “Bobil’s” you see over there, but at the same time it makes me curious because of the price of gas. I did a rough calculation based on some pries you had mentioned previously and it would equate to over $9 USD/Gallon! Ready to manufacture an electric Bobil yet?
Speaking of electric, that was an interesting picture of the electric car plugged in. Are there many of those power stations around? Is there a charge for them?
